Revitalizing Urban Areas

Sometimes small things act as a catalyst to turn a city neighborhood around. The empty 5-acre site at the end of H Street turned out to be just the right spark for the H Street corridor. Working hand in hand with the community, CRC, together with our related companies, helped transform the site into 257 urban apartments, a sprawling pool deck, and a host of unexpected amenities including an indoor basketball court (where, on occasion, some of the resident Washington Mystics can be seen shooting around) and spectacular social areas where corporate meetings for start-ups and companies like Yelp can pop up. The Flats has turned into the perfect complement to H Street’s eccentric art shows, president-approved Italian hoagies, and the district’s largest beer garden. Now a true urban oasis, the Flats at Atlas is positively impacting the area’s ongoing evolution as a hotspot for dining, art, and exploration.
